UF-B wire
UF-B is a non-metallic sheathed cable designed for underground feeder and branch circuits. It typically consists of copper conductors and a gray PVC outer sheath, and is rated for 600 V. Unlike ordinary indoor non-metallic sheathed cables, UF-B can be directly buried or used in wet environments without the need for additional conduit protection when laid outdoors. It also meets NEC specifications for direct burial and non-metallic sheathed cable installations.

According to NEC standards, UF-B cable is permitted for use in dry, wet, or even corrosive environments, with a maximum conductor temperature of 90 °C (although current carrying capacity is limited by the 60 °C rating).

The certified cable structure and performance are suitable for direct burial and branch circuit applications, and the certification verifies the cable's reliability in terms of aging, abrasion resistance, and resistance to environmental stress.

APPLICATIONS
UF-B cable is widely used for supplying power from existing buildings to outdoor equipment or auxiliary structures, such as power lines for outdoor lighting poles, irrigation pump stations, sewage pumps, and electric gates. It can also be directly buried in the ground for use as an underground feeder cable. It is also suitable for conventional branch circuit wiring inside residential or agricultural buildings, especially when the working environment may be damp or wet.
Buried Directly
UF-B can also be used for garden sheds, storage rooms, tool sheds, and other outdoor independent structures. The cable can be directly buried in the soil (at the depth required by NEC standards) without the need for additional PVC or metal conduits.
Outdoor Lighting
UF-B cable is ideal for fixed wiring applications exposed to outdoor environments for extended periods. Its insulation completely encases the conductor, providing protection against moisture and rainwater penetration, and it can withstand temperature variations and UV radiation.
Agricultural
In agricultural and rural power supply in the Americas, UF-B offers long-distance power delivery, is easy to install, and is used frequently. It can be applied to farm lighting systems, barn power supply, irrigation system power, and more.
