THWN / THWN-2 Cable
THWN (Thermoplastic Heat and Water-resistant Nylon-coated) is a commonly used copper conductor wire with thermoplastic insulation, heat and water resistance, and a nylon sheath. THWN wires are widely used globally, including in tropical regions like the Philippines, and are particularly suitable for power distribution systems in challenging environments such as those with high humidity and high temperatures.

Advantages of THWN wire
THWN wires are typically made of high-quality, high-purity stranded copper wire, offering excellent conductivity and mechanical properties. The insulation is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) thermoplastic material, providing good insulation performance. The surface is coated with a layer of nylon material to improve abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and water resistance.
