Advantages of MV Cable
MV-105 cable uses compressed or compacted annealed bare copper conductors, balancing excellent conductivity and mechanical strength. A semi-conductive conductor shield is extruded over the conductor to ensure uniform electric field distribution and reduce the risk of partial discharge. The insulation layer is made of EPR (ethylene propylene rubber), possessing high dielectric strength, good heat and aging resistance, and supporting continuous operation at 105 °C. A peelable semi-conductive insulating shield is added to the outside of the insulation, along with a 5 mil copper tape metal shield (25% overlap) for reliable grounding and electromagnetic shielding. The outer sheath is made of flame-retardant, moisture-resistant, and sunlight-resistant PVC, suitable for dry or humid environments, and can be laid in conduits, cable trays, cable trenches, direct burial, and some overhead applications.
