T90 cable features a high temperature rating and heat resistance, conforms to common North American cable standards, and employs an improved insulation and sheath construction. The T90 designation is commonly used to indicate that the cable can operate continuously at 90°C (in a dry environment), a higher temperature rating compared to the older standard (TW75 only allows 75°C). In actual product labeling, T90 often appears together with designations such as THHN/THWN-2/MTW, indicating a composite-rated building wiring type.

T90 copper cable uses solid or stranded copper conductors, conforming to ASTM B3 / ASTM B787 standards. It uses thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as insulation, providing heat and moisture resistance. The cable is sheathed with nylon or special PVC, which not only protects the insulation but also reduces friction during pulling, facilitating threading through conduits.

Packaging Information
T90 wire is typically offered in coil packaging, small wooden spools, large wooden spools, and carton packaging, depending on the wire diameter and ordered length. Coil packaging is mostly used for small gauge and short length cables; small wooden spools are suitable for medium diameter and standard engineering lengths; large wooden spools are used for long-meter or large-section T90 wires to prevent cable deformation; and carton packaging is suitable for cut-to-length products, facilitating batch use and inventory management.
