Advantages of medium voltage cable
Medium voltage cable features a single-core design with a stranded, compacted circular copper conductor conforming to AS/NZS 1125 standards. The conductor is extruded with a semi-conductive conductor shield, followed by an XLPE insulation layer and a strippable semi-conductive insulation shield, forming a complete medium-voltage insulation and shielding system. A copper wire shield is placed outside the insulation shield, supplemented by spirally wrapped copper tape, allowing for grounding and fault current capacity design according to engineering requirements. The outer sheath is made of black PVC material, providing good mechanical and environmental resistance. The cable structure can also be optionally equipped with longitudinal water blocking, lead alloy metal sheathing, and a nylon anti-termite layer to adapt to different laying conditions.
